Explorers receive an introduction to the necessary skills needed to become a safe kayaker and standup paddleboarder: efficient paddle strokes, water safety, capsize recovery, teamwork, navigation, Leave No Trace ethics, marine ecology, personal flotation device fitting, nomenclature and much more.  We'll visit local seals, sea cucumbers and other wildlife...or they may visit us!

Experienced Seafarer-age paddlers (ages 7-10) may contact our program director to discuss becoming an Explorer early by emailing shop@olympicoutdoorcenter.com.

This camp runs from 9:00am to 1:00pm Monday through Friday in Poulsbo.
