Itinerary:

Saturday

Fort Ward Address:  2241 Pleasant Beach Dr NE, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110

  •   7:00am - Check-in Opens at Fort Ward Boat Launch
  •   8:00am - Mandatory Paddler Safety Meeting
  •   8:30am - Day 1 Paddle Begins
  • 11:30am - Lunch stop at Manzanita Bay

  •   4:30pm - Dinner at park shelter

Once we leave Fort Ward we will paddle about 4 miles to our first rest stop at the point white pier to get out and stretch our legs. There will be a portable facility available. From Point White we will continue to Paddle North for another 4 miles into Manzanita Bay for lunch at the Dock St road end (facility available). After Lunch we will make our way to Agate Passage and take advantage of some siginicant help from the current as we continue to Fay Bainbridge, which is about another 4 miles, to have dinner and stay the night.

* Times are approximations and may vary depending on our group and conditions.

Sunday

Fay Bainbridge Address: 15446 Sunrise Dr NE, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110

  •   8:00am - Breakfast at park shelter
  • 10:30am - Mandatory Paddler Safety Meeting
  • 11:00am - Day 2 Paddle Begins
  •   1:30pm - Lunch stop at Pritchard Park
  •   2:30pm - Back on the water
  •   5:00pm - Paddlers arrive at Fort Ward

Sunday morning we will have a leisurely departure so that we may take full advantage of the currents for the day. We don't want to paddle against the current, especially in Rich Passage. So leaving at 11am will keep us poised to use mother nature instead of fighting her! Once we leave Fay, our lunch spot at Pritchard Park (facility available) is about 6 miles, 2 hours of paddling, away. From Pritchard Park we will continue South around the southern tip of the Island and into Rich passage to Fort Ward. This will be the last and the longest leg of the journey so make sure that you have used the facility prior to heading out!

* Times are approximations and may vary depending on our group and conditions.
